NO-POT PETITION

This letter is not to start a debate or argue whether I'm pro-or
anti-cannabis. Every person in Pueblo has the right to believe
whatever they so choose, along with the right to vote on what's
happening within their own county.

I am just informing the people who read The Pueblo Chieftain on what
the petition really means and intends to do. There are four types of
licenses for marijuana, and there are retail and medical licenses for each.

MIP (marijuana-infused product) for companies that make edibles,
tinctures, etc.

Center, which is open to the public (21 years or older).

Medical dispensaries are open to those with a medical marijuana card.

Test facilities also are closed to the public and exist for testing marijuana.

The petition would ban everything except medical dispensaries.
Meaning no more medical grows, medical MIPS or medical testing facilities.

This is not just a petition to ban recreational marijuana. It would
successfully ban both medical facilities that are closed to the
public, along with recreational facilities.

There is a notion that this petition is only going to ban retail or
recreational marijuana stores, but that is just a misconception. The
petition's ban also will be taking the jobs away from the people who
work in medical grows, medical MIPS and medical-testing facilities.

Most other counties that already have allowed marijuana set
moratoriums so no more businesses can come into the county or city.
There is a set number and that is all that is allowed.

If someone is telling you that this will not effect the medical
patients and will only be shutting down recreational dispensaries, it
is a blatant lie.
