MARIJUANA HELPING VETERAN LIVE WITH HEALTH PROBLEMS

I am a native Floridian, born at Jackson Memorial Hospital in 1953. I
am now 61 years old and for as long as I can remember, marijuana has
always been here - and readily available to just about anyone. I
don't understand what the big deal is about.

There are those who say it will become even more available to our
children if voters approve Amendment 2, which would legalize medical
marijuana, in November. The scare tactics being used by the
anti-legalization forces are almost laughable.

I am a Vietnam Veteran who is 100 percent disabled, mostly due to
chronic PTSD. I have told my VA doctors that were it not for
marijuana, I would probably be dead or rotting in a prison somewhere.

I have smoked since the day I returned home from Vietnam, and will
continue to do so until the day the Lord takes me home. And I am not
alone. Veterans from all wars are either smoking marijuana or
consuming edibles containing the drug.

The anti-legalization groups should stop the scare tactics and do
some investigating on their own to find out why 88 percent of
Floridians are willing to vote "Yes" on Amendment 2.
