WAR ON DRUGS IS THE PINNACLE OF LOST RIGHTS

Being a long-time drug law reform activist, on numerous occasions I
approached both teachers and various union officials, soliciting their
support for this cause that I believe so deeply in.

Aside from a few rare exceptions, the idea was soundly rejected based
on one excuse or another, or flatly ignored, generally by union leadership.

Now that the authoritarian oppressors, more formidable than at any
time in recent history, have set their sights on a couple of new
targets, the resounding response has been that it's about rights and
democracy and freedom.

The war on drugs is the pinnacle of lost rights and constitutional
violations, which were rationalized as the exceptions that quickly
became the rule. Nothing in our nation's history has done more to
erode the principles upon which it was founded, such as personal
responsibility, property rights and sanctity of our castles, and
freedom from government tyranny, oppression and interference, just to
name a few.

This all compels me to ask a question of those who now find themselves
under the spectacle of such tyranny: How do you like them apples?

There's a lesson for them to learn rather than teach: It's all
relevant.
