The cartoon indulged a cheap-shot stereotype of the "pothead" as a contemptible druggie and lame-brained lout of the "trailer park biker-boy" variety. Not only was the cartoon inappropriate and insulting, the cartoonist's dialogue balloon got it wrong; the Compassion Club is not "closed." Not yet, anyway.
