TESTING TRAMPLES PRIVACY RIGHTS

Regarding your July 18 article on drug testing in public schools ("Study:
Testing reduces drug use / Districts can decide to screen students"):

This is a violation of our constitutional right to privacy in our
persons, papers and possessions. It also violates the probable cause
clause and search warrant issuance in most law codes. A person is
innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and here they are
presupposing guilt prior to the testing.
