I had to give my head a shake at Ted Shannon's letter about closing Insite. He refers to these people as junkies, losers, as if they had a choice to get off these drugs. But it doesn't work like that. Sure they made a terrible decision to use them in the first place. But once they are hooked, they have very little choice. Would Shannon abandon a member of his family if they had ended up in similar situation? Health Minister Tony Clement was dead wrong in that Insite only prevented one death per year. One death is OK if it costs too much money, right? Brandon Parker Delta - --- MAP posted-by: Larry Seguin
