In this way, syringe exchange programs are a resounding success. The World Health Organization, scientific research and the experience of such programs around the world show that these programs reduce the spread of hepatitis C and HIV/AIDS, and do not increase or promote drug use. Given the increase in fentanyl-related overdoses recently, how can anyone in their right mind argue against proven, effective programs. - --Gabriel Sayegh Brooklyn - --- MAP posted-by: Beth Wehrman
