When the Netherlands liberalized their marijuana laws, they were rewarded with a decrease in new hard-drug addicts. If crystal meth is not sold by marijuana dealers, it makes it a lot harder for marijuana users to progress to meth. England has just decriminalized weed and was rewarded with a decrease in marijuana use. It seems it is not as attractive when you can't get arrested for it. Even our own Senate endorses these positions. I do not want to be confused with some snake-oil salesman, I grew up in Hinton and understand the dire need for drug reform in the region. I implore everyone to start educating themselves thoroughly as it is the only way to truly combat this disease. For those who wish to get started, I suggest checking out www.mapinc.org.
