In Holland, with its lax drug laws, drug usage is pegged at 18% while the U.S., which has put one million citizens in prison for possession alone, has a whopping 35% of the population using recreational drugs. Prohibition has destroyed more families, cost more lives, and wasted more tax dollars than 100 gun registries combined. I would sooner see police looking for the criminals who broke into my cars five times than worry where my friend (who has MS) is buying her medicine.
