Not stated in this article is the fact that under the proposed law, any amount of illegal substances in the blood, no matter how small, will lead to charges. A marijuana buzz lasts a maximum of two hours but evidence of marijuana use remains in the blood for a minimum of 30 days. This means that police will soon be charging people with impaired driving because of a joint they smoked a month earlier. Kane Slater, Toronto - ---
