PEOPLE DON'T CHOOSE TO FAIL

In rebuttal to the letter, "Too many abuse drugs and
booze":

If life was a choice, to succeed or fail, the low working class today
would not exist. We could sit in our riches and dictate who makes
mistakes. Sadly this is not the way the world works.

Unfortunate people do not choose to fail in life, they are simply
dealt a card. It's by chance we are happy with our life or not. Do we
do nothing to provide for ourselves? Not every decision made in life
is declared brilliant, but we live and learn.

Insinuating that the less fortunate have simply forgotten about God is
ludicrous, partly because I have a good feeling God would reach out to
them and not someone who is so happy with their life. They can turn
and tell me the world and its problems. I assure you the devil has not
plagued us with these obstacles, and surely his "followers" have done
nothing to curse them, but no matter, we help them.

Call us humane for not leaving them to perish and for that I'll ask
you, "Why?"
