C. Drinan BODY BAG IS NOT THE ONLY WAY OUT FOR ADDICTS A different outcome for the young man in the body bag of John Howard's "War on Drugs" commercial could have been resuscitation in a safe injecting room, or safe as a patient on a trial for prescription heroin, accompanied in both cases with support and counselling. Our Prime Minister opposes safe injecting rooms, opposes heroin trials, yet pretends to be concerned about the broken dreams, grief, poor health, suffering and deaths of our citizens who for one reason or another are addicted to illegal opiates. The hypocrisy of the man leaves me gasping for breath. A.C. Drinan, Kogarah, March 25. - --- MAP posted-by: Josh Sutcliffe
