Gierach PARKING VIOLATION Parking a marijuana-loaded semi-trailer in Bolingbrook in a Pace parking lot intended for passenger vehicles only is an outrage. Just because a driver is hauling a 7-ton load of reefer doesn't give him or her the right to disrespect parking regulations. Whoever parked this weed-rig should be cited, particularly since there was plenty of "drug parking" available in an adjacent truck-stop lot. Seriously though, this 7-ton drug war is not to be taken lightly. If we taxpayers hope to roll with the drugwar punches and if we hope to be able to afford the cost of building a new "Ecstasy prison" - once Illinois legislators toughen the penalties for club drugs to cocaine and heroin proportions - then marijuana violations must be kept in parking-ticket perspective. Rollin', rollin', rollin' - keep those jalapenos comin' - drug war. James E. Gierach, Oak Lawn - --- MAP posted-by: Jo-D
