To the Editor of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Kudos to James Bell for his thoughtful Oped: "Treat Marijuana Like Wine"
(12-19-13).

I'd like to add that for many reasons I prefer marijuana to wine. Does
this make me
a bad person? Does it make me an evil person? No.

And for many reasons I prefer cannabis to powerful painkillers like
Vicodin.
Does this make me a bad or evil person? No.

To the Editor of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Re: "MORE TEENS SMOKING POT" (12-21-13).

As penalties for marijuana use decrease the tendency to be honest with
someone
conducting a so-called anonymous survey increase. Would you admit to a
complete
stranger that you have committed a crime that can send you to prison? I
wouldn't.

And neither would the majority of those interviewed for drug use surveys.

To the Editor of The Arizona Republic:

Re: "Flurry of drug-smuggling bust made as Ariz. hits peak season"

More pot busts. I am sure many marijuana growers, traffickers and
sellers are thankful
for these pot busts and others like them. Without pot busts the
easy-to-grow weed would
be worth what others easy-to-grow weeds are worth--very little.

Thanks to the Drug Enforcement Administration and other so-called "drug
warriors,"
the easy-to-grow weed is worth almost as much as pure gold--and completely
tax free.

Any and all marijuana growers, sellers and traffickers arrested will
soon be replaced.

They always are.
