To the Editor of The Providence Journal:
I'm writing about Rebecca McGoldrick's thoughtful letter: Demonizing
Marijuana" (10-30-13).
I'd like to add that those who think that marijuana prohibition somehow
protects our children and society, I'd like them to search on Google or
Youtube for "Retired Police Captain demolishes the war on drugs."
You will see that our so-called war on marijuana substantially increases
all other crime. Back in the 1960s, police solved more than 90 percent
of all homicides. Today they solve just over 60 percent. Why? Because of
our so-called war on drugs. There are huge financial incentives for
police to make pot busts and confiscate the pot dealers' money and
property, but no financial incentive to solve rapes, robberies or murders.

It is obvious that the Mexican drug cartels and the politicians on their
payroll
don't want any legal marijuana sold in Arkansas. Is your Attorney
General on the
payroll of the Mexican drug cartels?
If not, she might as well be.

To the Editor of The Reno News & Review:
Common sense dictates that our police must be solving a much higher
percent of homicides today as compared to the 1960s. After all, today’s
police departments have access to DNA evidence that didn’t exist during
the 1960s. And police departments today can run finger prints through
high tech computers and find an exact match out of 100s of millions
finger prints on file. Back in the 1960s this technology did not exist.
So why do police only solve just over sixty percent of homicides today
while during the 1960s, they solved more than ninety percent of homicides?
The answer is our so-called war on drugs. Today police have huge
financial incentives make drug busts and to confiscate drug dealers
money and property, but no financial incentives to solve rapes,
robberies and murders.
I’d like to add To those who think that our drug prohibition polices
somehow protect children and our society, I strongly suggest they search
on Google orYoutube.com for: “Retired Police Captain demolishes the war
on drugs.”

My reaction to: "COST OF ANAL PROBE DONE AT GILA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
ORDERED BY POLICE BILLED TO LORDSBURG VICTIM, LAWSUIT CLAIMS"
is that we should tear down the Statue of Liberty and send it back to
France. And remove that names "Liberty" and "Freedom" from all our
government building and national monuments.
We have no right to consider the United States a free county.
