Re: "THREE MEN GET 1-YEAR SENTENCES FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA OPERATIONS"
(12-16-11).
In 2008 I voted for, campaigned for and donated to
the Obama campaign for two reasons: Candidate Obama
said the war on drugs was an utter failure and candidate Obama said he
would not go after medical
marijuana users or their caregivers.
In 2012 I will vote for, campaign for and donate to his opponent.

To the Editor of The Reno News & Review:
I'm writing about your thoughtful editorial: "Is Obama
in control" (12-22-11). In Ken Burns' outstanding PBS
documentary "Prohibition" it was revealed that alcohol
prohibition corrupted all levels of our government--all
the way up to the Warren G. Harding White House. The
alcohol cartels had hundreds of politicians on their payroll.
Is it unreasonable to suspect that the drug cartels of today
are following in the footsteps of the alcohol cartels? It's
obvious that medical marijuana dispensaries were making
a major dent in the income of the drug cartels.
Would a ten million dollar bribe motivate Obama to change
his policy regarding medical marijuana? We will never know.
But I certainly suspect so.
