So according to Ashcroft people will be taking up drug use because they
think the government will save them with a treatment program if they get a
drug problem.

Certainly that's flawed logic.

Also, the CIA reported that AIDS is a NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT yet we don't
need needle exchange according to Ashcroft.

Once again this guys brain is not firing on all cylinders.

Hope America is happy with their new President and his cabinet. They got
what they wanted and will have to live with their choice. Bush may take us
further to the right on this issue but we'll pick up new people every time
they do because they will fail with their policy.

I've been admonished for putting this quote in DSW #180.

As I explained:

- --------------------------------------------------------------------

I confess I selected that quotation on a whim without confirming its
validity. A trusted friend sent it to me just as I was putting the
finishing touches on the newsletter and it struck me as funny.

Now I see that Nostradomus pundits are calling it a fake.

See http://www.dreamscape.com/morgana/election.htm

I had hoped that Bush supporters would also see the humour in it, but
in retrospect, I guess it was in poor taste.

- --------------------------------------------------------------------

In other words, it appears to be yet another legend making the rounds
on the 'net.
